Pre-Purchase Inspection
Before you buy, find out what the seller—and the dashboard—may not tell you.
OLDER CARS · CLEAR DECISIONS · REGINA
An older car can still have years left. We’ll tell you what needs attention now, what can wait, and when it’s time to stop spending.
Straight answers in English or Mandarin.
WHAT WE DO BEST
You don’t need to know what’s wrong. Tell us what you hear, feel, or were quoted. We’ll help you decide what deserves your money.
Before you buy, find out what the seller—and the dashboard—may not tell you.
A warning light is a clue, not a parts list. We test before we replace.
No cold air? Weak heat? We find the problem before Saskatchewan weather makes it urgent.
Older cars develop patterns. Knowing where to look can save time, money, and unnecessary parts.
Bring the dealer estimate. We’ll sort it into do now, do later, and don’t waste your money.
Spare key, all keys lost, cutting, or programming—with ownership checked first.
We don’t take engine or transmission rebuilds, structural collision or severe rust work, or deep airbag repairs. If another specialist is a better fit, we’ll tell you up front.
WHY I DO THIS
I know what it feels like to face a warning light, a long estimate, and one hard question: Is this car still worth saving?
I became a mechanic because I wanted better answers—not more parts thrown at a problem. Today I run the kind of small shop I once wished I could find: a place where you can ask questions, see what we found, and make the decision without pressure.
“I’m not here to sell your car a perfect future. I’m here to help you get the useful life that is still left in it.”
WHAT I BRING TO THE CAR
Scan data, cold starts, road tests, leak checks, electrical testing, and hands-on inspection.
Not just what is worn—but what matters now, what can wait, and what is no longer worth the money.
English or Mandarin, with photos when useful and a repair plan you can actually understand.
FROM THE WORKSHOP
The badge on the hood matters less than finding the real fault and making a sensible decision.
A badly split intake hose was pulling in unmetered air and causing the misfire and lean condition.
Fix the air leak first—not everything on the list.
We sort recommendations into safety work, reliability work, items that can wait, and money better kept in the owner’s pocket.
Turn a frightening total into a workable plan.
We check airflow, controls, temperatures, pressure, and the electrical side before blaming the most expensive part.
Repair the failed system, not the guess.HONEST ADVICE FOR AN OLDER CAR

Worth doing before it becomes a breakdown.
Not perfect, but safe to monitor.
When the repair no longer makes sense.
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT
Send a short note. We’ll confirm whether we’re the right shop and what the assessment starts with.
A symptom, a quote, or a car you may buy.
We agree on the time and starting cost.
We test it and show you what we found.
Now, later, monitor, or walk away.
No surprise work and no surprise bill.
